I agree that these protests can get annoying. The last one I was at seemed to be devolving into a costume party or a competition about who had the best sign. We didn't do it that way during Vietnam.
Still, numbers count. So does conversion--people who had never joined a protest before came out. They saw the optics. Don't be shy. Stand up. This is practice for the General Strike.
Entertainment industry independence... I'd say it's right up there with independent journalism. Culture and society are formed and shaped by the stories that are told and heard and remembered. I'm looking forward to thoughts about the entertainment industry. My concern is that it's being monopolized by billionaires with self-serving agendas.
It was encouraging to me to read about the film festival. Especially the comment an inmate made about almost forgetting they were in prison. In my view, the prison system should be all about rehabilitation. Things like the film festival go a long way toward that end.
Aww, stop teasing us, you!

Here's a good article in the Guardian about other ways to make a difference: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2026/mar/29/no-kings-protest-next-steps-activism We can all find some way to contribute.
The women in MN are our shock troops. Fearless and not taking shit from fascists. They are running the resistance.
I will die for them! For my mom, sister, and my wife.
Embrace the matriarchy. Listen to brown women or fail. This is our only hope to change society.
Jeez that’s a bit dramatic but this shit is really happening…
You are the gold standard. I admire and applaud your activism, your humanity, your humor. Thanks for sharing. Keep keeping on!
