Pure cake. And not only MBJ - who I never not see as that beautiful boy in The Wire making lunch for his younger siblings..

I usually don’t have the time to read long pieces here.. but I try to read yours. Because they’re worth the time and the thoughts and the truth and the knowledge .. 🩵

I'm headed to the Boston show tonight, and this post was the perfect pregame. 🍻

Doug McMillion isn’t just a name ripped from a rejected SNL sketch…he’s a case study in how absurd wealth gaps have become normalized at the expense of dignity, equity, and basic human decency.

As a leadership coach who works with founders and executives, I see how actual leadership requires alignment, not just optics.

You don’t get to make $27 million while your team qualifies for SNAP and call it success. That’s exploitation wrapped in a press release.

You nailed the assignment, Kamau: laughter as a scalpel.

I’ll be in the audience tonight, soaking it all in and laughing just loud enough to make the people beside me shift in their seats. Let’s go. 👊⚡

This was incredibly eye opening! It’s insane to think about how much they make and then they pay their employees such low wages. I have to say MBJ drew my eye to the article but I really enjoy your work. Also, congratulations on winning Celebrity Jeopardy! That was awesome!

We shop at a grocery store that has been here 100 years and is owned by the kid of the original owner. I loathe Walmart. It killed the hometown of my husband

This is sooo funni. But if you're not incensed enuf yet, here's another fun fact: a CEO's expense account can be equal to his (or her?) salary.

OK, chill out, think of your blood pressure...

The people who should be making millions are the ones who volunteer their time for worthy causes. And if they made millions they would donate it all to said causes. Our society sure does suck mightily when it comes to disparity on so many levels.

And Bakari as a singular name would rock.

You can get things delivered online and still not shop at Amazon.

Just sayin'. Look a little

harder, and you might even find what you're looking for for cheaper! It's a common assumption that things are cheaper on Amazon- but I find it often isn't true!

Also, if we can diversify the economy a bit, we'll all have more choices...keep your options open.

People who help you move SHOULD be paid 27 million! I’m emailing the person I have a meeting with on Thursday at 11am right now to reschedule because I hate to miss Office Hours if I don’t have to. And welcome back to the Rep! Loved getting to see you there last month. Is there an Annual Hero of Bay Area Arts & Education Award because I’d like to throw your name in the ring 🏆 The way you show up for this community is beyond commendable & inspiring ❤️

I shop at a cooperatively owned grocery store (Woodmans) in Madison WI that consistently has lower prices on exactly the same products than Wal-Mart for the items i regularly buy. I have to ask myself why they have the reputation of having the lowest prices anyway. Why can't I stop thinking about Scrooge McDuck? Seems like D J McBillions did a similar smackdown on Elon when he questioned tariffs and was quickly put in his place.
